The MCST (The Malta Council for Science and Technology) provides strategic advice to Government on national science and technology policy. Over the years it has been responsible for identifying and addressing major science and technology challenges and issues of strategic importance for Malta, and contributes to the development of coherent, sustainable policy perspectives and initiatives. It has pioneered innovative approaches to the deployment of science and technology in the Maltese Islands, in particular through the use of foresight and other participative policy tools.
'The EFMN is financed by the European Commission Directorate General for Research as part of a series of initiatives intended to provide a Foresight Knowledge Sharing Platform for foresight practitioners and policy makers in the European Union.
